Chardonnay
Wine
Mewstone Chardonnay is grown on the banks of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel in Flowerpot, Tasmania. The gentle, north facing slopes capture the cool southern sunshine.
Whole bunch pressed juice is racked to barrel and fermented with natural yeasts. Full malolactic fermentation follows. The wine then matures in new and seasoned oak for around a year before being bottled in late summer.
Light yellow, Mewstone Chardonnay walks the line between rich and refined, balancing stone fruit and citrus notes with savoury complexity. Cellaring potential is five years.
