Cuthbert Cabernet Sauvignon

Kay Brothers Cuthbert Cabernet Sauvignon honours Cuthbert Thornborough Kay. Born on the Amery property at McLaren Vale in 1914, he devoted his life to producing rich, full bodied red wines.

The fruit is hand harvested and open fermented. After 10 days on skins, the wine is gently basket pressed in a traditional 1982 press, resulting in softer tannins and cleaner juice. It matures for 20 months in French oak barrels prior to bottling.

Deep ruby, Kay Brothers Cuthbert Cabernet Sauvignon has rich, vibrant dark fruit flavours, fine chalky tannins and a supple lingering minerality. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
