Wine
Handpicked Wines Capella Vineyard Pinot Noir is grown in the small Capella Vineyard at Bittern near the shores of Western Port Bay on the cool climate Mornington Peninsula.
Planted in 2008 the Capella Vineyard is entirely hand pruned and handpicked. Soils are grey clay loam and the vineyard enjoys the maritime influence of Western Port, Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait.
After destemming and sorting, the grapes undergo open fermentation with hand plunging twice daily. The wine matures for 10 months in French oak. It is made only in the finest vintages.
Purple crimson, Handpicked Wines Capella Vineyard Pinot Noir is elegant with red fruit flavours, fine tannins and a lasting finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
