Wine
Flaxman Wines Mataro is made with small parcels of fruit purchased from nearby growers in the Eden Valley. All the grapes are handpicked.
Fermentation takes place in open vessels, remaining on skins for around a week. The wine then matures in seasoned French oak barrels for 24 months. There is no fining or filtration at bottling.
Dark purple, Flaxman Wines Mataro is medium bodied with dark fruit flavours, bright acid and fine tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
