VSV Valley View Road Shiraz
Wine
Peter Lehmann VSV Valley View Road Shiraz belongs to the 'Very Special Vineyard' series, made only in exceptional years when a single site perfectly harmonizes varietal and region.
The fruit is from Wayne and Scott Grope's vineyard in Ebenezer. At 360 metres altitude, it is the Barossa Valley's highest and most northern vineyard. The grapes ripen later, allowing them to be picked at optimum maturity.
Fermentation occurs on skins over several weeks, with manual pump overs maximizing colour and flavour. The wine is then aged in 40% new French oak for 15 months.
Bright crimson purple, Peter Lehmann VSV Valley View Road Shiraz is richly flavoured with a firm tension of tannins on the finish. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
