Wine
Ten Minutes by Tractor Coolart Road Pinot Noir is made from the highest performing block of the Coolart Road Vineyard, dedicated entirely to growing Pinot Noir.
The vineyard is located on the edge of the Moorooduc and Tuerong townships in the northern Mornington Peninsula. It represents a warmer style of Pinot Noir.
The handpicked grapes are mostly destemmed without crushing, the balance retained as whole bunches. They are kept cold in concrete tanks for several days to delay the start of wild yeast fermentation.
During fermentation, the juice is pumped over with some plunging towards the end. After 25-30 days on skins, the wine is pressed and transferred to French oak barrels, one third new, for malolactic fermentation.
Typically 12 months of maturation follows. The wine is bottled unfined.
Deep vermillion, Ten Minutes by Tractor Coolart Road Pinot Noir balances plump, ripe fruit flavours grippy tannins and length. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
