The O.C. Semillon
Wine
Thomas Wines The O.C. Semillon is sourced from vines on a strip of sandy loam earth along Oakey Creek (O.C.) Road at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. The vineyard was planted in 1976.
The wine is an unwooded style of young Hunter Valley Semillon. Though originally produced in a generous, contemporary style, over time it has transitioned to a more classical style.
The winemaking is driven by the mantra 'keep it simple'. The aim is to take quality fruit and preserve its attributes all the way from vine to bottle.
Green gold, Thomas Wines The O.C. Semillon has typical Hunter Semillon character: tangy citrus, fine, steely minerality and gentle tropical fruits. Cellaring potential is seven years.
