L.T.Cf. Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot
Wine
Pierro L.T.Cf. Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is typically a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and a 'little touch of Cabernet Franc'.
The fruit is grown on the winery's north facing vineyards at Wilyabrup in Margaret River. It is all handpicked, hand sorted and gently destemmed.
Each variety is fermented separately in small batches, followed by 12 months of maturation in French oak. In some vintages, a dash of Petit Verdot and Malbec also comprises the final blend.
Once bottled the wine is stored for several years before release.
Deep crimson, Pierro L.T.Cf. Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot has rich, smooth fruit flavours with a gentle grip of fine tannins to finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
