Estate Reserve Shiraz
Wine
Sandalford Estate Reserve Shiraz is drawn from the winery's estate vineyard at Wilyabrup in Margaret River, one of the largest and oldest vineyards in the region.
The grapes are crushed and inoculated with selected yeasts. The juice is open fermented with pump overs twice daily to keep the skins and juice in constant contact. Once the colour, flavour and tannins come into balance the wine is pressed.
Once primary fermentation is complete the wine is inoculated for malolactic fermentation, then transfers to French oak barrels to mature for 14 months.
Deep cherry red, Sandalford Estate Reserve Shiraz has dark berry flavours, savoury spices and supple tannins with a lingering finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
