Masters Margaret Barossa Semillon
Wine
Peter Lehmann Masters Margaret Barossa Semillon is named after Peter Lehmann's beloved wife and draws from established plantings of Barossa Valley Semillon.
Peter Lehmann rewrote the rulebooks of Barossa Semillon in the early 1990s, eschewing oak and opting for an early picked style that lends itself to ageing.
The grapes undergo a cold ferment in stainless steel tanks to retain fruit delicacy. After two weeks, the wine is clarified and bottled before being cellared at the winery for five years prior to release.
Bright straw, Peter Lehmann Masters Margaret Barossa Semillon is led by zesty citrus flavours with waxy, honeyed notes from bottle age. The finish is clean and fresh.
Though aged in bottle and ready to drink, cellaring potential is five years from release.
