Wine

Stonier Lyncroft Vineyard Chardonnay is from the dry grown Lyncroft Vineyard, located in the hills above Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula. The soils are composed of old volcanic basalt.

Facing south east towards the cold waters of Bass Strait, the fruit is usually the last of Stonier's Chardonnay to be picked, giving it a distinct natural acidity.

The fruit is whole bunch pressed, with the free run and pressings portions kept separate if needed. Fermentation occurs in open puncheons, followed by malolactic fermentation in half of the wine.

After several months of maturation in French oak, the wine is blended and returned to barrel for further ageing.

Bright yellow, Stonier Lyncroft Vineyard Chardonnay's creamy texture is underpinned by its signature searing acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
