Jimjoca Vineyard Chardonnay
Wine
Stonier Jimjoca Vineyard Chardonnay is sourced from the well regarded Jimjoca Vineyard, a short distance east of Balnarring on the Mornington Peninsula.
The fruit is handpicked and whole bunch pressed, with the free run and pressings portions kept separate when necessary. Fermentation is in French oak puncheons, a small percentage new with the balance one and two years old.
The wine spends almost a year in oak on its ferment lees prior to bottling.
Pale straw green, Stonier Jimjoca Vineyard Chardonnay has driving fruit flavours with a background of toasty oak. Cellaring potential is five years.
