Nest Egg Chardonnay
Wine
Bird in Hand Nest Egg Chardonnay is grown at a single site at Mount Torrens in the Adelaide Hills, a cool pocket that sits at an elevation of 450 metres.
The Nest Egg label is reserved for the most outstanding wines of any vintage.
The handpicked grapes are whole bunch pressed directly to French oak barrels for wild fermentation. The ferments are stirred twice weekly to encourage partial malolactic fermentation.
Each barrel is assessed individually and only the most exceptional barrels selected for the final Nest Egg blend.
Pale straw, Bird in Hand Nest Egg Chardonnay has intense fruit flavours anchored by textural oak and natural acidity. Cellaring potential is six years.
