McW 660 Reserve Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine
McWilliam's MCW 660 Reserve Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the winery's dedication to high altitude wines. It is sourced from Cabernet vines grown at 660 metres above sea level in the cool climate Hilltops region.
The grapes are crushed into open fermenters. After 10 days the ferments are airbag pressed, settled and racked to 25% new French oak hogsheads. Maturation lasts for 16 months with minimal racking before the wine is blended and bottled.
Deep red purple, McWilliam's MCW 660 Reserve Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon has dark berry flavours, graphite oak notes and fine grained tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
