McW 660 Reserve Canberra Syrah
Wine
McWilliam's MCW 660 Reserve Canberra Syrah reflects the winery's dedication to high altitude wines. It is sourced from Shiraz vines grown at 660 metres above sea level in the cool climate Hilltops region.
The fruit is open fermented with varying portions of whole bunches to increase aromatics and stalky complexity. The hand plunged ferments spend 10-12 days on skins before pressing to French oak.
After ageing for nine months with minimal racking, the wine is lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling.
Vibrant purple, McWilliam's MCW 660 Reserve Canberra Syrah has floral red fruit flavours, notes of spicy oak and long, gentle tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
