Elizabeth Semillon
Wine
Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Semillon is named in honour of Queen Elizabeth's first visit to Australia in 1954. The fruit is drawn from the winery's Lovedale Vineyard, planted by Maurice O'Shea in 1946.
The grapes are handpicked early in the morning. After destemming and pressing, only the finest free run juice is kept for cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is bottled early to retain its freshness.
Pale straw, Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Semillon is a classic example of Hunter Valley Semillon, with intense citrus flavours, refreshing acidity and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
