At the Winery
Winery
At age 15 Audrey Wilkinson assumed the daunting role of running the family vineyard (then called Oakdale) planted in 1866 to Pokolbin's first vines. After a lifetime of winemaking innovation, the winery was renamed in his honour in 1962.
Owned by the Agnew family since 2004, Audrey Wilkinson's cellar door is perched atop a foothill of the Brokenback Ranges overlooking its historic Hunter Valley vineyard. The vines grow in a natural, north facing amphitheatre 180-260 metres above sea level. Most are planted in soils of hard shale limestone or weathered terra rossa, perfectly suited to their signature varieties Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz. Many of their wines are made from the original plantings.
Audrey Wilkinson's single site Reserve wines The Lake Shiraz, The Ridge Semillon and The Oakdale Chardonnay lead the way. The Winemakers Selection range follows closely behind.
