Kinship Shiraz
Wine
Credaro Kinship Shiraz draws from two estate vineyards in Margaret River: the Summus Vineyard in the heart of Wilyabrup and a site at Carbunup overlooking the Abba Plaines to Geographe Bay.
The fruit is destemmed to static and open fermenters, with the whole berries seeing some carbonic maceration. During fermentation, the static ferments are pumped over while the open ferments are hand plunged.
Part of the wine is fermented to dryness on skins; the balance is pressed earlier to finish fermentation in barrel. Malolactic fermentation follows. The wine is aged for 14 months in French barrels, minimally fined, then bottled.
Deep purple red, Credaro Kinship Shiraz has dark fruit flavours, earthy notes and fine tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
