Tom Price Chardonnay

Voyager Estate Tom Price Chardonnay is produced in tiny quantities in only the finest vintages. It is named after Thomas Moore Price, who helped make Voyager Estate a reality.

Small parcels of fruit are handpicked from Block 5 and Block 6 of the Broadvale Vineyard. The grapes from each remain separate throughout the winemaking.

The fruit is whole bunch pressed and its juice is transferred straight to French oak barrels, 40% new and the remainder one year old, for wild yeast fermentation. Partial malolactic fermentation follows.

Over around 12 months of maturation, the lees are stirred at four week intervals. The best barrels are selected for the final blend.

Pale straw green, Voyager Estate Tom Price Chardonnay has vibrant citrus and delicate creamy oak flavours underpinned by natural acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
