The Bogan Shiraz
Wine
Kaesler The Bogan Shiraz fruit is hand harvested from two Barossa Valley vineyards, the first planted in 1899 in Marananga and the second planted in 1965 in Nuriootpa.
The two estate vineyards complement each other well: the Marananga block provides grapes with intense blue fruit flavours, while the Nuriootpa block offers a black fruit profile.
During time on skins, the wine receives pump overs to extract colour and flavour. It is then pressed to one quarter new French oak barrels where it matures for more than a year. It is bottled without filtration.
Dark garnet, Kaesler The Bogan Shiraz is a full bodied style of Shiraz with sweet dark fruits, silky French oak and smooth, supple tannins. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
