HRB Chardonnay
Wine
Hardys HRB Chardonnay blends fruit from the regions best known for the variety. This multi-regional approach to winemaking was pioneered by Hardys founder Thomas Hardy in the 1860s.
It has since become the inspiration for Hardys Heritage Reserve Bin (HRB) range. HRB Chardonnay is sourced from Pemberton, Margaret River, Tumbarumba, Adelaide Hills and the Yarra Valley.
The fruit is fermented separately in French oak barrels with most undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine matures in barrel for eight months. Final blend selections are made at bottling.
Pale straw, Hardys HRB Chardonnay has intense stone fruit and citrus flavours, a vibrant acid backbone and a sweet, textured, persistent finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
