Wine
Frankland Estate Poison Hill Riesling is drawn from the Poison Hill Vineyard at the northern edge of the Frankland River township. The vineyard's heartleaf clover bushes are poisonous to all but indigenous animals.
The handpicked fruit is whole bunch pressed and the juice left to settle in tank overnight. It is then racked to a fermentation tank, where it spends 12 weeks at a low temperature with minimal intervention.
Bright golden yellow, Frankland Estate Poison Hill Riesling is perfumed with a core of citrus and stone fruit flavours, underlying minerality and vibrant acidity. Cellaring potential is seven years.
