Olmo's Reward
Wine
Frankland Estate Olmo's Reward is an estate grown Cabernet Franc dominant blend named after Dr Harold Olmo, the Californian viticulturalist who pioneered the idea of grape growing in Frankland River.
The Cabernet Franc is supported by Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Each variety is picked from dry grown vines and open fermented separately with gentle plunging and pump overs.
After fermentation, the wine sees extended maceration to develop colour, flavour and tannins. Following malolactic fermentation, the separate varieties are blended and aged in French oak for 15 months.
Deep crimson red, Frankland Estate Olmo's Reward has bright sweet fruit, fine gravelly tannins and a persistent finish. It is refined, beautifully balanced and elegant. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
