Rare Muscat
Wine
Chambers Rosewood Rare Muscat is made from estate grown Muscat à Petit Grains, or Brown Muscat as it is locally known. In the warm Rutherglen autumn, the grapes ripen to the point of shrivelling on the vine.
After picking and crushing, the intensely sweet juice is fortified with a neutral grape spirit and set aside to age in old oak casks. The solera for this rare wine is meticulously maintained.
Only exceptional quality wines are added to the base solera, which includes material that dates back to before World War I. Fractional blending for each release produces a reliable style and quality.
Deep walnut brown, Chambers Rosewood Rare Muscat has intense sweet flavours woven around a rich fruit core. It has silky viscosity and is deliciously long. A wine literally from another century.
Regarded as one of Australia's national treasures.
