Gravel Pit Shiraz
Wine
Willow Bridge Estate Gravel Pit Shiraz draws primarily from the Gravel Pit Block on the winery's hillside vineyard in Geographe. Before it was planted to vines in 1998 the block was used to excavate gravel.
The fruit is crushed cool then fermented over eight days. The juice is hand plunged twice daily, reaching temperatures of up to 28°C. For maturation the wine is transferred to new and seasoned French oak hogsheads.
Deep purple, Willow Bridge Estate Gravel Pit Shiraz is a vibrant, juicy wine with mouth filling dark fruit flavours, spicy characters and fine, silky tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
