Black Dog Shiraz

Willow Bridge Estate Black Dog Shiraz was coined in 2001. While pumping over a spectacular hilltop block of estate Shiraz, a cellar hand noted that the wine was 'as black as the inside of a dog'.

The name stuck. Today only vintages that deliver Shiraz grapes of premium quality produce the Black Dog. The vines are meticulously maintained and restricted to tiny yields, ensuring plush varietal characters in the grapes.

The fruit, handled fastidiously in the winery, is crushed cool and fermented over eight days. The wine matures in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads.

Bright purple crimson, Willow Bridge Estate Black Dog Shiraz combines powerful black fruit flavours with rich, spicy, complex oak characters. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
