Freya Riesling
Wine
Sons of Eden Freya Riesling is named for the foremost goddess of ancient Germanic lands, honouring the German settlers who cultivated the first Riesling vines in the Eden Valley.
The fruit is selected from vineyards in the colder areas of the Eden Valley and handpicked in the cool of the morning. It is chilled further to 6°C before whole bunch and whole berry pressing.
Only the finest pressings are retained. The juice is then cold settled and racked clear to begin a cool fermentation over three weeks. Once sugar dryness is reached, the wine is kept on yeast lees for 2-3 months to develop texture before bottling.
Clear light straw, Sons of Eden Freya Riesling has alluring citrus aromas that carry into the taste, finishing with zesty, crunchy acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
