Golden Plains Pinot Noir
Wine
Provenance Golden Plains Pinot Noir blends fruit from several Geelong vineyards and surrounding regions such as Ballarat, Henty and Macedon.
The fruit is fermented in small open pots, nearly half as whole bunches and whole berries making up the balance. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts.
After pressing the wine is settled and racked to new and seasoned French oak barrels for natural malolactic fermentation. After ageing for 10 months the wine is blended and bottled.
Deep red, Provenance Golden Plains Pinot Noir is fruit-sweet yet rich, with graphite like tannins and long finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
