Semillon
Wine
McLeish Estate Semillon is sourced from vines planted in 1985 on the hillside slope of the estate vineyard, located at Pokolbin in the lower Hunter Valley.
The vineyard has classic Hunter soils of friable red duplex loam. Hand harvesting occurs over a series of days, meaning that the grapes can be picked at different levels of ripeness.
Following fermentation, the wine matures in stainless steel vats to preserve its colour. The focus of the winemaking process is to preserve the fruit's flavour intensity through careful attention to detail.
Pale green quartz, McLeish Estate Semillon displays vibrancy and lean acidity, with a line of fresh citrus flavours and long finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
