Single Vineyard Hill Top Syrah
Wine
Helen’s Hill Single Vineyard Hill Top Syrah is grown on the highest point of Helen's Hill. The vines are exposed to the hottest temperatures on the property, allowing them to thrive.
The fruit is destemmed and crushed to open top fermenting vats, where it remains on skins for around 14 days. After primary fermentation, the wine is racked to French oak barrels, 40% new to mature for 18 months.
In some vintages, a small portion of Viognier is included. In keeping with the winery's minimalist approach, the wine is racked only once at bottling.
Dark red, Helen’s Hill Single Vineyard Syrah is medium bodied with intense dark fruits, bold tannins and aromatic spices. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
