Wine
Granite Hills Shiraz was first produced in 1978. Its fruit is handpicked from the estate vineyard, which contains some of the oldest plantings in the Macedon Ranges.
The fruit is placed into an elevated crushing system, which gently moves the berries by gravity from the crusher into small open fermenters. As it ferments, the juice is hand plunged. The wine then matures for three years in oak barrels.
Inky garnet, Granite Hills Shiraz has persistent spicy fruit flavours and a grip of fine tannins on the finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
