Alex 88 Cabernet Sauvignon

Wynns Coonawarra Estate Alex 88 Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium single vineyard wine that draws both its fruit and its name from Alexander's Block, planted in 1988 in Coonawarra.

Part of Wynn's Single Vineyard range, this wine is only made in years when Alexander's Block represents the winery's top performing vineyard.

The site's terra rossa soil is a deep, light clay that results in low, even cropping of the Cabernet vines. The result is intensely flavoured fruit. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12-14 months in new and seasoned French oak.

Vibrant purple, Wynns Coonawarra Estate Alex 88 Cabernet Sauvignon's dark fruit and mineral flavours form a muscular wine of persistent length, framed by the site's classic powdery tannins.
