Wine
Turkey Flat Shiraz draws from some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world, dating back to 1847. These old, dry grown vines must work hard, their roots extending metres into the Barossa Valley earth in search of water.
Each parcel of fruit is vinified and aged separately in specially selected French oak barrels, typically 40% new. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in barrel.
This wine is the result of an intricate blending process. The individual components are carefully compiled to create a wine that cellars gracefully, maintaining fresh, balanced flavours.
Deep dark red, Turkey Flat Shiraz embraces both power and restraint. Full bodied, it has dark berry flavours, hints of spice, fine tannins and a lingering finish.
It shows the true worth of old vine Barossa Shiraz. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
