Wine
Turkey Flat Rosé was first made when Rosé was an anathema in the Barossa Valley – a region known for big, bold Shiraz. In 1994, this wine helped lead a 'Rosé revival' and today it has a cult following.
Turkey Flat developed their style with a clear purpose: to shift perceptions, to show that Australian Rosé can be fine wine and that the Barossa is well situated to be its source. Their style has become archetypal of Australian Rosé.
It is typically Grenache, with considered additions of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mataro in some vintages. The fruit is picked in multiple parcels, fermented without oak and bottled promptly.
Pale pink, Turkey Flat Rosé is light, crisp and dry. It has fresh red berry flavours with a backbone of cool spice and a clean, savoury finish. Serve chilled. Best enjoyed young.
