Hector Shiraz
Wine
Tulloch Hector Shiraz is named after Hector John Tulloch, who brought the Tulloch name to prominence. Until his influence in the 1950s, the wines had been sold in bulk to other brands.
Hector Shiraz is made only in tiny quantities in exceptional vintages. Premium parcels of fruit are selected from historical vineyards in Pokolbin.
The winemaking methods are tailored to produce the elegant style of Hunter Valley Shiraz for which the region is famous. The wine matures for 9-12 months in French oak, then further in bottle prior to release.
Deep plum, Tulloch Hector Shiraz has firm, velvety tannins layered over dark fruit flavours with well integrated oak providing structure and length.
A classic Hunter Shiraz. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
