Wine
Tolpuddle Vineyard Pinot Noir reflects the cool but relatively dry climate of Tasmania's Coal River Valley. First planted in 1988, the vineyard is gently sloping and north-east facing, with soils of light silica sands.
The grapes are open fermented as both whole berries and whole bunches with gentle hand plunging. The wine ages for nine months in one third new French oak barriques followed by several months in bottle prior to release.
Deep bright garnet, Tolpuddle Vineyard Pinot Noir is intensely aromatic, with savoury spice notes, fresh juicy acidity and firm tannins. Cellaring potential is nine years.
