Thompson Estate Andrea Reserve Cabernet Merlot is a Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and small portions of Cabernet Franc and Malbec.

The fruit is gently machine harvested from Wilyabrup in Margaret River. During fermentation it is tenderly pumped over three times daily to maximize colour extraction. This careful handling ensures fresh varietal characters carry into the final wine.

Post ferment the wine spends seven days on skins to develop extra complexity. It is then transferred to a selection of French oak barrels to age for 15-18 months.

Deep red, Thompson Estate Reserve Cabernet Merlot is medium to full bodied with elegant fruit flavours, savoury edges and soft tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
