Big Jim Shiraz
Wine
Teusner Big Jim Shiraz is made with the best parcels of Shiraz grown on the Wark family's vineyard at Stonewell in the Barossa Valley. The low yielding vines were planted in 1995.
The fruit is crushed one small picking bin at a time before undergoing open fermentation. After several days on skins the wine is transferred to French oak barrels, around half of which are new, for 18 months of maturation.
Deep inky crimson, Teusner Big Jim Shiraz is medium to full bodied with concentrated dark fruit flavours and lifted, spicy oak. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
