Wine

Stonier Pinot Noir is drawn from a portfolio of hand tended vineyards across the Mornington Peninsula, known for its pristine cool maritime climate. Each site brings its own nuances to the wine.

The fruit is predominantly destemmed and open fermented. A small portion is fermented separately as whole bunches. During fermentation the juice receives daily plunging and gentle pump overs.

Most of the wine is then pressed to fine grained French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 10 months of ageing. A fraction matures in stainless steel tanks.

Light crimson, Stonier Pinot Noir begins bright and juicy, with brooding fruit flavours and savoury tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
