KBS Vineyard Chardonnay
Wine
Stonier KBS Vineyard Chardonnay is a premium single vineyard wine, grown in the pristine maritime climate of the Mornington Peninsula.
The fruit is a blend of I10V1 and P58 clone Chardonnay, handpicked from the sandy loam and transitional basalt soils of the KBS Vineyard.
The fruit is whole bunch pressed and fermented in French oak barrels, a small portion new. The wine undergoes partial malolactic fermentation with up to nine months of ageing.
A selection of the finest barrels are then blended and further matured for a few months prior to release.
Pale straw, Stonier KBS Vineyard Chardonnay has sweet citrus and oak flavours, driven by natural acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
