Geelong Chardonnay

Shadowfax Geelong Chardonnay is handpicked from the Longest View Vineyard at Geelong. The vines sit atop a hill overlooking Port Phillip Bay, cooled during the day by bay breezes.

With its sandy loam soils over volcanic gravel, the vineyard produces richly flavoured Chardonnay. This maritime influenced site is reflected in the minerality and saltiness that frames the wine.

The fruit is whole bunch pressed and ferments with native yeasts in a mix of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads. The wine remains on lees for eight months before bottling.

Straw green, Shadowfax Geelong Chardonnay has sumptuous stone fruit flavours and vibrant acidity building to a seamless finish. Cellaring potential is five years.
