Wine
Rockford Rifle Range Cabernet Sauvignon comes predominately from vineyards along Rifle Range Road in the Barossa Valley, where the vines grow in heavy clay 'Biscay' soils.
The warm Barossa region, planted to Cabernet since at least 1888, produces full flavoured expressions of the variety. All Rockford's grapes are handpicked.
The fruit is destemmed and crushed using a crusher from the 1880s. Following open fermentation, the wine is gently basket pressed and aged in a combination of small and large format oak casks.
Dark garnet, Rockford Rifle Range Cabernet Sauvignon is richly flavoured with generous dark fruit and earthy tones. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
