Estate Sangiovese

Ravensworth Estate Sangiovese is sourced from the winery's vineyard at Murrumbateman in Canberra, situated on gentle slopes of granite and red loamy clay.
The grapes are processed as whole berries with no pumps used. After a natural ferment the wine undergoes extended maceration on skins. It is then matured in a large oak vat, allowing the wine to develop slowly without gathering overt oak flavours.
Brick red, Ravensworth Estate Sangiovese is a spice laden wine with layers of fine tannins and persistent acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
