Wine
Moss Wood Chardonnay is one of the original Margaret River Chardonnays. It was planted in 1976 by founders Bill and Sandra Pannell, as soon as cuttings became available in Western Australia.
The fruit is whole bunch pressed and cold settled in stainless steel tanks. The clear juice is racked and seeded with multiple yeast strains. During fermentation, the juice is racked to half new French oak to complete the ferment.
After full malolactic fermentation, the wine is racked and blended in stainless steel, then returned to barrel to age for 12 months. It is sterile filtered prior to bottling.
Bright straw green, Moss Wood Chardonnay's firm, full bodied structure is in perfect balance with its sweet fruit flavours and crisp acidity.
One of Australia's best Chardonnays. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
