Amy's
Wine
Moss Wood Amy's draws from the Glenmore Vineyard just north of the winery in Yallingup, Margaret River. The wine is named for Amy Beers. Born on the property in 1920, she lived there all her life.
Cabernet Sauvignon and small amounts of Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot are handpicked and fermented separately. Each variety is destemmed and fermented in closed tanks with cultured yeasts.
After two weeks on skins, the wine is pressed and racked to seasoned French oak to mature for 16 months. It is then racked to stainless steel tanks, blended and sterile filtered prior to bottling.
Deep red plum, Moss Wood Amy's has juicy dark berry flavours, balanced structure and firm tannins. Cellaring potential is five years.
