Wine
Moorooduc Estate The Moorooduc McIntyre Pinot Noir is the pinnacle of Moorooduc Pinot Noir. It is handpicked entirely from the estate McIntyre Vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula.
The minimal intervention winemaking is a nod to traditional Burgundian techniques. The fruit is destemmed but not crushed for open fermentation with wild yeasts.
After three weeks on skins, the wine transfers to new and seasoned French oak for malolactic fermentation and 18 months of maturation. It is racked once before bottling without fining or filtration.
Deep garnet, Moorooduc Estate The Moorooduc McIntyre Pinot Noir is firmly structured yet elegant, with savoury notes and long, layered tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
