Wine

Keith Tulloch The Kester Shiraz is sourced from the heritage listed Bainton Vineyard at Broke Fordwich in the Hunter Valley. Its oldest vines – which supply fruit for this wine – were planted in 1923.

The Kester Shiraz is part of the limited release Family Collection. Its winemaking incorporates similar techniques to traditional wineries in the Rhône Valley in France.

The Shiraz grapes are co-fermented with a trace of Viognier in open vats. During four weeks of fermentation, the juice is hand plunged. Maturation then occurs in fine French oak barriques over 20 months .

Inky red, Keith Tulloch The Kester Shiraz has dense black fruits, deep tannins and velvety savouriness with a gentle patina of oak spices. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
