Heritage Chardonnay

Juniper Estate Heritage Chardonnay is a mixture of Gin Gin and Clone 95 Chardonnay fruit from two estate vineyards in Margaret River: one in Wilyabrup and one in Forest Grove.

The fruit is selectively handpicked and gently whole bunch pressed directly to French oak barrels, nearly 50% new. Here the juice undergoes 'free range', or wild yeast, fermentation with no additions.

During 10 months of barrels ageing, the wine is stirred every 3-4 weeks. The aim is to produce a complex yet naturally balanced wine.

Pale straw, Juniper Estate Heritage Chardonnay tempers rich, fleshy fruit texture and flavour with smooth acidity and length. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
