Classic Dry Riesling
Wine
Helm Wines Classic Dry Riesling draws from a small number of Canberra District vineyards, including the estate vineyard at Murrumbateman.
The Helm vineyard contains the region's oldest Riesling vines, planted in 1974. The other sites are located no more than 1,000 metres from the winery's front gate. Each parcel of fruit is managed separately in the winery.
The winemaking follows a recipe that has been honed since the first Helm Riesling in 1977: the winery's inaugural release. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks and only the finest parcels are selected for the final blend.
Very pale straw, Helm Wines Classic Dry Riesling is a clean, fresh wine with crunchy green apple flavours, minerality and intense citrus like acidity. Cellaring potential is 25 years.
