Wine
Hardys HRB Shiraz blends fruit from the regions best known for the variety. This multi-regional approach to winemaking was pioneered by Hardys founder Thomas Hardy in the 1860s.
It has since become the inspiration for Hardys Heritage Reserve Bin (HRB) range. HRB Shiraz is typically sourced from the McLaren Vale and Clare Valley regions.
The fruit is wild yeast fermented separately in open top fermenters. The wine sees full malolactic fermentation and ages in French oak for 16 months. Final blend selections are made at bottling.
Vibrant purple, Hardys HRB Shiraz has dark fruit flavours, subtle spicy oak, silky tannins and a long, textured finish. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
